Abstract: The recent progress in transition-metal catalyst synthesis of isoquinolines including Pa-, Ag-, Cu-, Rh- , Ru- and other catalysts is reviewed. In addition, the possible mechanisms of the cyclizations of forming isoquinolines were also discussed.
