Monogenea of Chinese Marine Fishes XXIV. A New Chinese Record Species Axine depauperati Yamaguti, 1968 (Axinidae)

A newly recorded species Axine depauperati Yamaguti, 1968 was found on the gills of Hyporhamphus dussumieri Valenciennes, 1847, from Sanya, Hainan Island. The specimens are basically in accord with the original description of Yamaguti (1968) except for the shape of the clamps, the number of anchors and the spins in both genital atrium and cirrus. The specimens are deposited in the Lab of Fish Parasitology, College of Life Sciences, South China Normal University．
