The Progress in the Research on Estimation of Vehicle Carbon Emission in China

  • China's motor vehicles are an important contributor to carbon emission in the transport sector, and their contribution to total carbon emission is expected to increase in the future. Road traffic is an important source of carbon emission. The progress in the research on vehicle carbon emission estimation in China is reviewed and the vehicle emission inventory, temporal trend and regional characteristics are described in order to help achieve China's carbon neutrality goal and provide decision support for future carbon emission measures.
