The Synthesis and Properties of a Fluorescent Probe Based on Pyrene Schiff for Hg(II) Sensing

  • A new Hg2+ fluorescent probe,4-nitro-7-(2-(pyren-1-ylmethylene)hydrazinyl)benzofurazan(PBF),was synthesized. The results indicated that the probe showed a specific recognition for Hg2+ with a fluorescent enhancing signal in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) aqueous solution. No obvious fluorescent changes were observed for PBF in the presence of other heavy metal ions in the same condition. Therefore,PBF showed a selective recognition for Hg2+.
