Abstract
In this work, we report on a laser protective device based on liquid crystal polymer film. The helical arrangement of the liquid crystal molecules makes the film reflect non-polarized laser effectively. The fabrication process of the film is described in details. The material recipe of the liquid crystal polymer, including non-chiral monomer, chiral monomer, chiral dopant, inhibitor and photo-initiator, is investigated, and their effect on optical properties of the device as well.
