Abstract: On the basis of analyzing spatio-temporal characteristics of the real estate's evolvement and urban space expansion in Dongguan, this paper studies the interplay between real estate's evolvement and urban space expansion using spatial analysis technology, path analysis and regression analysis method etc. The results show that: real estate's development promotes the extension of urban land, the change of housing price' distribution is an indicator of urban space expansion, and to a certain extent, real estate spatial distribution leads the orientation of urban space expansion; whereas, urban expansion brings on the increasement of real estate's demand and the change of housing price spatial pattern and real estate spatial layout. The study will benefit the optimizing of real estate layout and city in-order expansion.
