THE IRREDUCIBLE QUADRATIC FACTORS OF THE TRINOMIAL x^n-bx +a

  • 摘要: 设n是正整数,f(x)=x^n-bx+a,其中a,b是非零整数.当nmax(30,1/2(|b|+1))时,运用Lucas数本原素因子存在性的新近结果,找出了所有含有首项系数等于1的二次整系数不可约因式的f(x).

     

    Abstract: Let n be a positive integer, and Let f(x)=x^n-bx+a,where a,b are nonzero integers. Using a recent result on the existence of primitive divisors of Lucas numbers, all which have monic irreducible quadratic factors with integer coefficients are given under the assumption nmax(30,1/2(|b|+1.
