Abstract: Based on the Citation database of CNKI(China Knowledge Resource Integrated Database),the citation of papers published in Journal of South China Normal University(Natural Science Edition) from 2008 to 2012 were analyzed. The number of cited papers, the citation times, the age distribution of cited papers, the situation of the cited article supported by fund, the subject distribution of cited papers, the situation of highly citied papers, the authors of cited papers and the distribution of the cited journals were analyzed. According to the analysis, some suggestions were given in the paper for the development of the journal.
