EVALUATION ON SUITABILITY OF TECHNIQUE FOR SPATIAL PLANNING FOR TOWN AND VILLAGE IN CHINA

One of the outstanding problems in spatial planning for town and village implementation is the conflict and contradiction between town and village planning and land use planning in China. Discussion on the method of suitability assessment for spatial planning technique is valuable. In this paper, authors put forward two methods, one was based on the core interpretation and the other was based on regional differences. Analysis on the contradiction from the top six village problems and the core interpretation of ten technologies, it was found that the main land use contradiction was man-land relationship, and the main villages building contradiction is the neglect of public service infrastructure. The key of technology for land use is intensive, for village building is the centralization of settlement. Two of them are matching each other. The work of technical guidance based on regional differences would be going on afterwards.
