On the spectral radius of non-starlike trees with given number of pendent vertices
Let \mathscrT_n,k denote the set of all non-starlike trees with n vertices and exactly k pendent vertices. By comparing the characteristic polynomials of graphs,the tree with maximal spectral radius among \mathscrT_n,k is determined.
