  • The global minimizers and the vortex structure of an anisotropic superconducting thin film are discussed. It is proved that for fields close enough to the lower critical magnetic field H_C_1, the global minimizer of the Ginzburg-Landau functional has a bounded number of vortices independently from the Ginzburg-Landau parameter. The location of the vortices is also given.
