SOLITON EXCITATION OF A ONE-DIMENSIONAL MOLECULAR-CRYSTAL MODEL WITH A CUBIC INTERACTION TERM

Abstract
A moving solution for soliton excitation of a one-dimensional molecular-crystal model with a cubic interaction term is found. Under the approximation for neglecting the cubic interaction term, the moving solution tends to the usual polaron solution. The width and the peak are calculated also. Differences between the soliton excitation in the model and the usual polaron solution are pointed out.
