Study on Chitosan Intercalated into Na+-Montmorillonite in Solution

  • In acetic acid solution, CS/MMT composites were prepared, and primary studies were carried out on the effect factors such as temperature, time, dosage of CS and CS mass molar. Products of CS/MMT composites were analyzed by WXRD, TEM and FTIR. The results show that when CS mass molar is 80104,the suitable temperature and time for intercalation are about 60℃ and 6h respectively; interlayer space is about 1.53nm; the effect of CS dosage on interlayer space of CS/MMT composite is weak; low mass molar of CS is benefited for CS intercalated into MMT, and larger interlayer space of CS/MMT composite is obtained. Mass molar of CS is the main effect factor for intercalated structure of CS/MMT composites, the intercalated structure of CS/MMT composites can be adjustable by change the CS mass molar.
