Study on decoloration of malachite green solution by the treatment of functional polymer magnetic carriers

  • In this paper, the decoloration effect has been researched by treating the malachite green solution with functional polymer magnetic carrier. The results show that, after 8 hourstreatment, decoloring rate of the functional polymer magnetic carrier can reach 97%, which is similar to that of the activated carbon. Furthermore, functional polymer magnetic carrier can easily be separated from water under a magnetic field outside, which effectively solved the problem of traditional decoloring materialsdifficulty to be separated from wastewater. Functional polymer magnetic carrier is a new type sorbent of dyestuff that has great prospect of exploration and application.
