Progress in printed electrofluidic displays technology

  • Printing technology is a promising approach for low-cost, large scale display processing, and also an important direction need breakthrough for the global display manufacturing industry. Electrofluidic display with simple pixel structure reply on wet processing is an ideal candidate for printed displays. With the aim of printed electrofluidic displays, the key materials and the corresponding printing technologies are reviewed in this paper. Various oil filling approaches for electrofluidic display processing are discussed in depth. The challenges of printed electrofluidic displays are summarized. Finally, we point out the possible solutions and research directions to address these issues.
