A MECHANISM OF CACHE DEPLOYMENTING AND SCHEDULING OF P2P VOD SYSTEM

A new mechanism of data caching to optimize the caching ability and cache dispatching was introduced in three ways: 1) to utilize the spare P2P nods as cache; 2) to deploy the cache before the programs starting; 3) to make the cache scheduling based on the requested connections from source video server. It is shown from the simulation results that this mechanism of data caching can efficiently improve the system caching ability and optimize its performance.
