Abstract
The graphene oxide(GO)was prepared with the modified Hummers method. Then it was reduced with FeSO4·7H2O through high temperature reflux. The reduction product was impregnated with Cu(NO3)2 and calcined to obtain the heterogeneous Fenton catalytic material (α-Fe2O3/CuO/rGO). The materials were characterized with XRD and SEM. Phenol was used as the target pollutant to investigate the characteristics and efficiency of α-Fe2O3/CuO/rGO for the phenol degradation. The experimental results showed that at the optimum state, pH=5.8, 40 mmol/L H2O2, 1.0 g/L catalyst and 0.1 g/L Phenol, the degradation percentage of Phenol was 100% within 90 min; the TOC removal efficiency reached approximately 70% within 180 min. Therefore, α-Fe2O3/CuO/rGO showed high efficiency of phenol degradation and is a promising Fenton catalyst.
