Abstract
(4-pyridin-4-yl-benzoylamino)-benzoic acid (HL) was synthesized by 4-bromopyridine hydrochloride and 4-amino-benzoic acid as starting materials. New coordination polymer (CP), Zn2L2(CO3)(H2O)2n (1) have been successfully synthesized by solvothermal method. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis showed that complex 1 crystallized in monoclinic P21/c space group, and the inorganic chain formed by Zn (II) ion and carbonate oxygen atom existed in the structure. These Zn-O inorganic chains were further linked by carboxylate oxygen atom and the pyridine nitrogen atom of the L- ligands, giving rise to a three-dimensional framework structure with the 4-connected 66 topology.
