Abstract
In this paper, an infrared reflector was fabricated based on polymer stabilized liquid crystal. The positive charge impurities in the mixture trapped by the polymer network delocalized on application of a DC electric field causing the polymer network shrink near the cathode, expanding near anode, which leads to pitch gradient, resulting in the reflection bandwidth broadening. The photoelectric properties of the electronically tunable infrared reflectors prepared under the different UV polymerization time was investigated.
