具有高品质因子的光子晶体环形腔柔性调控研究

Study on the Gently Confined Hexagonal Photonic Crystal Cavity with High Quality-factor

  • 摘要: 环形腔由于有独特的回音壁模式把光场限制在环形区域内而受到国内外研究小组的关注. 为了进一步提高其对光的约束能力,本文以内环优化的H2环形腔基础上优化柔性调节了第二环,得到品质因子60%的提高. 在调整优化第三环和第四环空气柱到圆环位置时,发现空气柱环形分布结构的囚光作用与光子晶体结构的囚光作用存在竞争关系,环形腔品质因子并没有随着空气环的层数增加而正相关增长.

     

    Abstract: The photonic crystal(PhC) cavities with whispering-gallery mode have got more attention by researchers. For increasing Quality-factor(Q factor), we optimize the second round air-holes of the H2 photonic cavity which has been already optimized the first round air holes. And we get 60% Q factor increasing. By researching the third and fourth round air-holes structures, we find out that the effect of confinement of light by round air-holes structure conflict with the effect by photonic crystal. The Q factor do not always increase with the rounds increasing by round air-holes structure.
