Manipulating Surface Plasmon Polaritons: Principles and Research Progress

  • 摘要: 近年来表面等离激元在物理学、生物学等领域的应用有非常显著的进展. 本文针对表面等离激元在集成光路发展中的应用,重点介绍其传输、增益及传输损耗补偿、开关与调制等操控原理与特性等方面的研究进展.

     

    Abstract: In recent years, enormous progress on the application of surface plasmon polaritons in the fields of physics, biology, etc. For the application of surface plasmon polariton in photonic/plasmonic integrated circuits, the research progress of mechanisms that manipulate surface plasmon polariton, such as transmission of long-range modes, gain compensation to transmission loss, switch and modulation, are reviewed in this paper.
