Abstract:
A method was developed for the fingerprint from radix fici hirtae, followed by high performance liquid chromatography coupling electro-spray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-ESI-MSn). A Hypersil C18 column was used for the separation, water(A)-methanol(B) was used as the mobile phase and the binary gradient elution. 16 common peaks were found in four batches herbals and 10 were identified by MS. The results demonstrated that the method was feasible and the relative peak area (Sr) of the common peaks and characteristic peaks can be used to assess the quality in various areas and may serve as quality control method for radix fici hirtae.
