Abstract:
This paper analyzes the individual fecundity and the relationships between individual fecundity and some biological indexes of Pseudohemiculter dispar (Peter) in the upstream of Beijiang River. The material for the study was collected from April 2008 to May 2009. 52 specimens were studied, and the results are summarized as follows. The individual absolute fecundity of Pseudohemiculter dispar varies from 1 636 to 8 579 (average 5 358)eggs. The individual relative fecundity of body length ranges from 182 to 547 (average 402) eggs/cm; the relative fecundity of body weight ranges from 123 to 235 (average 176) eggs/g. The relationship between the individual absolute fecundity and total length(TL), body length(L), body weight(W), net body weight (Wn)could be described by power equation; and the relationship between the individual absolute fecundity and mature coefficient(GSI),ovary weight(Wo),fullness(K),age(t) can be regressed by quadratic equation. Multi-stepwise regressive analyses showed that the individual absolute fecundity are significantly related with net body weight (Wn), with a regression equation of F =1175.472+135.557Wn.
