VORTICES OF AN ANISOTROPIC GINZBURG-LANDAU MODEL IN SUPERCONDUCTIVITY

Abstract: The global minimizers and the vortex structure of an anisotropic superconducting thin film are discussed. It is proved that for fields close enough to the lower critical magnetic field $H_{C_{1}}$ , the global minimizer of the Ginzburg-Landau functional has a bounded number of vortices independently from the Ginzburg-Landau parameter. The location of the vortices is also given.
