Abstract: The biological characteristcs and seed propagation of Dunnia sinensis Tutch in Gudou Mountain Nature Reserve is studied. . The results were summarized as follows. (1) There are significant differences in the morphology and growth status of stems, leaves, flowers, fruit and seeds which grow in different environments. The flowers are bright and beautiful, which bloom for 3-8 weeks; the pollen ovule ratio is 612.46275.31, with the characteristics of insect pollination. (2) The germination rates varied among 11.33-38.66%, and the germination potential was 10.66-36.00%. There are significant differences between the germination rate and germination potential of the seed propagation which were collected in the different environments or with different experimental treatments.
