Abstract:
A compound which shows a significant aggregation-induced emission (AIE) phenomenon was used to make polymer by electrochemical polymerization. The structures, optical performance and surface morphology of the electrochemical polymerization (EP) films were characterized by means of infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), near ultra violet(UV), photoluminescence (PL) measurements and atomic force microscopy(AFM). The result showed that the electrochemical polymerization proceed from the 3 and 6 positions of carbazole groups, the film emitted blue fluorescence and had flat surface which the root mean square (rms) of surface roughnesses was 3nm below. It is suggested that they are potential materials for fabrication in PLED devices.
