Abstract:
Variation of soluble sugar, protein, total phenolics, amino acid, fat contents and POD activity in pistil of Nicotiana rustica L. between before and after pollination were studied. The results showed that soluble sugar content and POD activity of Nicotiana rustica L. both in stigma and style were lower before pollination than after pollination, and the soluble protein and fat contents of pistil was higher before pollination than after pollination, the total phenolics content of pistl was same between before and after pollination, and the amino acid content of stigma was higher before pollination than after pollination, but the amino acid content of style was lower before pollination than after pollination; Whether before or after pollination, the soluble sugar content was higher in style than in stigma, and soluble protein, total phenolics , amino acid, fat contents and POD activity were higher in stigma than in style.
