Abstract:
The process of recovery of tungsten by regrinding-flotation from an old ore tailing contained 0.19% WO3 in the south China is investigated. The results show that satisfactory flotation indexes can be achieved by the process of one stage roughing, two-stage scavenging and three-stage cleaning with conventional agents in the high alkaline flotation medium. The tungsten concentration grade and the recovery of WO3 reach 3.26% and 70.48%, respectively. Analysis of IR spectra testified that chemisorption and bonding were the main reaction mechanism of 733 on scheelite.
