Abstract:
Without adding any surfactant, the Fe2(MoO4)3 material is successfully prepared by the one-step hydrothermal method using Fe(NO3)3 and (NH4)6Mo7O24 as raw materials. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) results show that the synthetic products are monoclinic system materials and have peach-like hierarchical micro-nano structure. Several factors, including the Fe/Mo weight ratio, reaction time and temperature, play crucial roles in the formation of the Fe2(MoO4)3 layers of tightly packed structure, the oriented growth and layer-by-layer self-assembly of nano sheets are responsible for the formation of these micro-nano structure.Magnetic and catalytic experimental results reveal that the as-prepared Fe2(MoO4)3exhibits soft magnetic property and highly effective for the catalytic degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride (TC) in the absence of light irradiation, and is expected to be a promising catalyst of magnetic recycling reuse for TC degradation.
