Abstract:
In order to reveal the effects of different sports activities on the prevention of metabolic syndrome in middle-aged women, 112 university female staff age of 35-55 without metabolic syndromes and other major diseases were selected for the experiment over a 2-year period. They were divided into three groups engaging in modern sports exercises, Chinese traditional exercises or not any sports exercises. The results showed that the two groups who played modern or Chinese traditional exercises had stronger ability in preventing metabolic syndromes than the group without any sports exercises. And the group who practiced Chinese traditional exercises Taijiquan, Wuqinxi and Baduanjin showed strong fat and sugar metabolism compared with the group who played modern sports.
