Abstract: Coastal fishing village tourism sprung up in China's coastal areas in the 1980s. It has been thrived until now. But the fruits of researches on this subject are still rare. At present, the great development trendency of rural and marine tourism in domestic area and overseas, the transferring problems of China's coastal fishing industry, and the declaration of the 11th Five-Year Plan proposition of setting up new socialist rural areas (including fishing village), all above manifest the necessity, urgency and its broad prospect to contribute the new socialism countryside. This article profoundly discussed the issues about the concept of coastal fishing village tourism, the theoretical foundation and the practical function aspects.and put the exploitation system. It can be also used to enrich the research of this field as well.
