Demystifying the Carbon Footprint of Electric Vehicle Batteries Within the Whole Life Cycle

  • 摘要: 围绕《欧盟新电池法规(EU)2023/1542》中动力电池碳足迹的计算规则,对其进行全生命周期系统性的研究。回顾了电池在原材料获取与预加工阶段、生产制造阶段、分销阶段及废弃物处理与回收阶段的碳排放情况,突出了生命周期分析的必要性,并对不同类型电池碳足迹进行了对比。结合研究结果进行情景预测,提出电动汽车电池碳减排策略。文章有助于深化对电动汽车可持续发展的理解,为政策制定和产业发展提供科学依据。

     

    Abstract: The calculation rules for the carbon footprint of electric vehicle batteries outlined in Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 are systematically studied within the context of their entire life cycle. The carbon emissions associated with batteries during the phases of raw material acquisition and pre-processing, manufacturing, distribution, and waste treatment and recycling are reviewed, underscoring the critical importance of life cycle analysis. A comparative assessment of the carbon footprints of various battery types is presented. Based on the findings, scenario predictions and carbon reduction strategies for electric vehicle batteries are proposed. These insights contribute to a deeper understanding of the sustainable development of electric vehicles and provide a scientific foundation for policy formulation.
