Abstract:
The shrinking and vacation of rural public space is an important reason for the decline of rural areas, and the reconstruction of rural public space is the key to promoting rural revitalization. Taking Mingyue Village in Chengdu as a case, the impact of everyday life practices of lifestyle immigrants from cities to villages on rural public space under the background of rural tourism development is studied. It is found that the immigrants in Mingyue Vi-llage reconstructed the publicity of rural public space through the participation of rural institutional public space, the reconstruction of informal public space, the space for festival events, the flexible transformation between commercial space and public space and other everyday life practices and, especially, strengthened the social relations in the countryside and the local identity of the villagers. A new research perspective and development path for rural revitalization is provided. At the same time, the previous observation of the everyday life practice of lifestyle immigrants is extended from the private or family field to the community public field and the research on the social and cultural impact of lifestyle immigrants is also enriched.
