Abstract:
The graphene oxide(GO)was prepared with the modified Hummers method. Then it was reduced with FeSO
4·7H
2O through high temperature reflux. The reduction product was impregnated with Cu(NO
3)
2 and calcined to obtain the heterogeneous Fenton catalytic material (α-Fe
2O
3/CuO/rGO). The materials were characterized with XRD and SEM. Phenol was used as the target pollutant to investigate the characteristics and efficiency of α-Fe
2O
3/CuO/rGO for the phenol degradation. The experimental results showed that at the optimum state, pH=5.8, 40 mmol/L H
2O
2, 1.0 g/L catalyst and 0.1 g/L Phenol, the degradation percentage of Phenol was 100% within 90 min; the TOC removal efficiency reached approximately 70% within 180 min. Therefore, α-Fe
2O
3/CuO/rGO showed high efficiency of phenol degradation and is a promising Fenton catalyst.
