Abstract:
The fluorescent probe for Fe
3+ based on Didansyl-Histidine (DHD) was designed and synthesized using dansyl as fluorophore and histidine as receptors. The characterization and coordination mechanisms were researched with NMR, mass spectra, UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy, fluorescent spectroscopy and other methods. The experi-ments results indicated that DHD and Fe
3+ formed a multidentate complex with a molar ratio of 1 : 1. This probe showed high sensitivity and specific selectivity for Fe
3+ and exhibited a strong antijamming ability over other examined metal ions and good reversibility in the responses of DHD to Fe
3+.
