Abstract:
Taking the 21 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong Province for example, the temporal and spatial changes of regional tourism and traffic coupling in Guangdong Province from 2006 to 2013 is analyzed by constructing a comprehensive evaluation index system of urban tourism and transportation systems. The results show that the comprehensive development level of tourism and transportation systems in Guangdong Province has been steadily improving from 2006 to 2013, and has risen from the stage of low degree of coordinated coupling to the moderately coordinated coupling stage, but the cross-regional gap in the province has been increasing year by year. The coupling degree of regional tourism and traffic in Guangdong Province has been optimized year by year. From the spatial point of view, the coupling coordination degree shows the center-periphery pattern of high in the Pearl River Delta and low in the north, east and west.
