Abstract:
This review summarizes the works of PSLC(polymer stabilized liquid crystal,PSLC) and PDLC(polymer-dispersed liquid crystal,PDLC), including the effects of polymerization field frequency, monomer ratio, anchoring effect of polymerization network, monomer concentration, polymerization electric field, monomer BAB6 and chiral agent content on the photoelectric properties of PSLC and the effect of different alcohols, surfactants, inhibitors and UV curing time, nano-doped, liquid crystal content and initiator content, Polyurethane on electro-optic characteristics of PDLC. The effects of the concentration of liquid crystal monomer, PI film thickness, dichroic dye concentration and dichroic dye on PSLC performance were investigated. The results show that the optimized condition of photoelectric properties of PSLC are that the concentration of liquid crystal monomer is 3%, the thickness of PI film is 80nm and the dichroic dye concentration is 0.6%. The intelligent dimming glass based on polymer stabilized liquid crystal has a good application prospect in buildings, automobiles and so on.
