Abstract:
Water circulation through stabilized pressure pump was used to reduce nitrite in domestic water, using standing water as a control group. The results show that, the differentials between circulating water and standing water were gradually increased with the time of circulation when the domestic water was circulated by a 50-watt pump. The difference can reach to 112% after 360 h. There is an significant negative linear correlation between nitrite and nitrate in the circulated water. Nitrite was increased when the domestic water was purified by a water purifier, but the increased amount of nitrite in the circulated water is lower than half in the standing water, the concentration can be maintained under 0.02 mg/L. So water circulation is useful to control the problems of nitrite in water purifier and has broad prospects.
