Abstract:
Echinacea Purpurea, which has the functions of enhancing immunity and anti-infection, has been used as a medicinal plant for a long history worldwide, and was introduced to China in recent years. In order to establish an efficient regeneration system of E. Purpurea, we studied the effect of concentrations of 6-BA and NAA on the plant regeneration of different explants. The results showed that: a, the optimum media for bud differentiation from petiol, leaf and root were MS+05 mg/L 6-BA+02 mg/L NAA, MS+20 mg/L 6-BA, and MS+05 mg/L 6-BA, respectively; b, the optimum media for differentiation and rooting were MS+05 mg/L 6-BA, MS, respectively; c, the multiplication coefficient reached to 90. This work provides a practical plant regeneration method for rapid propagation and genetic modification of E.Purpurea.
