Abstract:
Nd:YAG transparent ceramics are prepared by solidstate reaction method in this investigation. And it is found that the transmittance of the Nd:YAG transparent ceramics could be improved by using Y_2O_3 powder prepared by ammonium carbonate precipitation method. The results show that the transparent ceramics with high linear transmittance at 1 064 nm (~74%) could be obtained by using highpurity commercial raw materials. And by using Y_2O_3 powder prepared by ammonium carbonate precipitation method, the linear transmittance of the transparent ceramics could be improved up to 78% at 1 064 nm.
