Abstract:
The genetic diversityin three wild A. eriantha populations which reside in Reshui town, Gaofeng and Yangshi villages of Shangling town, and Taoyuan village of Shangling town of Heping county, Guangdong Province, was analyzed in leaves DNA of different plants by PCR amplification with nine pairs of SSR primers. Present data showed that the percentages of polymorphic bands (PPB) of the three wild A. erianthapopulationswere between 97.3% and 98.9%, and the averagepolymorphism information content (PIC) in them werebetween 0.846 and 0.880. Among the three wild A. eriantha populations, the polymorphismof the populations inGaofeng and Yangshi of Shangling town was relatively high with an average PICof 0.880, and the polymorphismof the populations in Taoyuan village of Shangling town was relatively low with an average PICof 0.846. However, no significant difference of PPB was found in the three wild A. eriantha populations. These results indicate that there are still high genetic diversitiespreserved among the wildActinidia eriantha of different populations in Heping county of Guangdong Province, and rich gene resources could be utilizedfor kiwifruit breeding.
